Esirai Camp, migrational camp set in Serengeti, Tanzania
This intimate traveling camp enables you to experience being a part of this 600-kilometre journey as the Wildebeest, Zebra and their Antelope companions walk their time-honoured grazing routes from the Southern plains to the North for the Mara River crossing.
We rise early surrounded by the sounds of the African bush, your tent attendant already left freshly brewed coffee and tea on your veranda. The golden morning light paints the savannah as we lazily take in the majestic beauty that surrounds us.
Esirai Camp is a real out of Africa experience. A small and intimate camp with only eight guest tents, it shifts seasonally following the course of the migration. The camp was designed to strike a balance between being light and mobile enough to reach the most secluded locations, guaranteeing world class game viewing, and providing everything discerning travellers might expect.
The rhythm of each day is different. We can head out early unto the plains soaking up the energy of a new dawn. Climb unto the top of a remote rocky outcrop for a privileged view of the short grass plains and enjoy a luxurious breakfast, we can stay in camp and enjoy lazy game viewing from our tent.
Days in camp draw to a close with a sundowner drink in hand, watching the setting sun, followed by a hearty dinner made by your private chef, and stories shared around the roaring camp fire before retiring to the tent for a night’s sleep, to the lullaby of roaring lions.
