Having both grown up in Africa, we know how to turn a Safari into a life changing experience that will stay with you forever. Childhoods spent in the bush and lifetimes of organizing them has shaped what we do entirely.

I get goosebumps talking about Safari — and I have been doing this for a long time. Originally from Arusha, Tanzania, the starting point to Tanzanian Safaris, every Safari is built on personal knowledge — the places, the people, the landscapes, the logistics. That is what Journey to Africa is built on.
Georgie
I grew up in Tanzania and Kenya to parents working in the Safari world. My childhood was spent exploring remote corners of East Africa and learning the rhythms of the bush. Being on Safari is my happy place. I want to share the Africa I know and cherish with you - the Africa that sets your soul alight.

We visualize it every step of the way — the places you'll stay, the guides, the timing, the moments in between. Every detail is handled so your Safari feels effortless.
Intimate & Iconic
Most of our Safaris live here. Owner-run camps of six to twenty rooms, chosen for exceptional guiding, genuine warmth, and a real sense of place. We handle everything from arrival to departure — your job is to look out the window.
Raw & Remote
For those who want to go further. Private conservancies, mobile camps that follow the migration, landscapes most visitors never reach. Low visitor numbers, higher impact. For the traveler who wants the bush entirely to themselves.
Every Safari is thoughtfully designed for you. Your job is to tell us what you are dreaming of when you imagine your Safari, and we will make it happen.
Places We Stay
SAFARI LODGES
Think more permanent structures - often built with local materials and blending in with the environment. Often more ‘luxuries’ and amenities.
TENTED CAMPS
Intimate permanent camps where you have the balance of comfort and a feeling of immersion. Think canvas tents, but plush sofas, flush toilets and often a more permanent main area.
MOBILE & MIGRATION CAMPS
Camps that follow the migration herds in the Serengeti, simple but totally comfortable - they give you an immersive, classic “Out of Africa” style Safari experience.
