Serengeti Walking Safari Mobile Camp::
Our eco-friendly camp when on your walking Safari in the wild
Because of the special needs of a Walking Safari, we have designed a special wilderness camp. The Camp must be light and simple enough to be packed up and moved every day. It also is designed to blend in with the environment to encourage wildlife to come around camp.
The tents are walk in height, nylon dome tents made of mosquito netting. We provide cots with mattresses, duvets and pillows. Toilet and shower tents are provided for each two sleeping tents. Meals are served in a large "mess" tent complete with tables, chairs and cold drinks. The food is always abundant, wholesome and delicious.
Normally your camp will be carried in one 4x4 pick-up truck that also carries three camp crew. Although service will not be as extensive as on the luxury camp, you will still find your tent ready at the end of the day and your meals will all be served to you at the table.
By having this lighter weight camp we have two advantages – firstly we leave a far smaller impact on the fragile ground when compared to the large trucks many companies use to move their camps. Secondly we can get these light camps into far more remote and inaccessible places than would be possible with a larger vehicle.
